THE ONLY  2020 MULTI – BRAND WATCH EVENT IN SWITERLAND

This initiative launched in March by several luxury watch brands will take place from August 26thto 29th with the support of the State of Geneva. The event will be the only multi-brand gathering taking place in 2020 after the cancellations of Baselworld and Watches & Wonders.

The steering committee of the Geneva Watch Days, initially planned for late April 2020, has postponed the event due to the Covid-19 fast expansion in Europe and the rest of the world. This initiative launched by several major luxury brands including Bvlgari, Breitling, Ulysse Nardin, Girard-Perregaux, Gerald Genta, Urwerk, H.Moser & Cie, DeBethune and MB&F, will now take place from August 26th to August  29th 2020 in Geneva city center hotels, as well as in the boutiques and watchmaking workshops of the participating brands.

Organized as a decentralized and self-managed multibrand watch event due to the Fairs cancellations – Baselworld and Watches & Wonders, the Geneva Watch Days project has been unveiled early March by Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari.

The objective is to introduce to retailers and media on a “see now, buy now, resell now” base key watchmaking novelties from a broad choice of Brands representing Swiss Watch industry diversity.

This will allow retailers to regain momentum during the last months of the year usually corresponding to a strong consumer demand peak. Beside the founding brands of  the Geneva Watch Day additional brands like Louis Moinet, Bovet, Reuge, Maurice Lacroix, Artya, CZAPEK, Ferdinand Berthoud, are joing the event.

The 4 days program will include appointments, retailers and media multibrand events.

A central reception desk will provide orientation and guidance for retailers and media to optimise in the smoothest possible way their appointments with the founding brands throughout the four-day event.

In the same spirit, an extremely user-friendly digital support platform–called  www.gva-watch-days.com – will enable retailers and media to register, book their appointments with the different brands and reserve their hotel rooms at prices negotiated by the Steering Committee with the support of State Councillor Pierre Maudet.  Online from the end of May on wards, the site will indicate the different exhibition venues for each of the brands on the map of downtown Geneva.

*The Geneva Watch Days will be organised in strict compliance with the precautionary health measures defined by the Confederation and the Canton of Geneva.
