Zurich Art Weekend began in 2018, driven by a collective vision to unite the city’s art ecosystem and strengthen its participation in the global arts conversation. Guided by founding members and a distinguished academic committee comprising curators, artists, museum directors and critics, Zurich Art Weekend evolved from 35 to 70+ art venues and organisations, presenting exhibitions and events to an expanded annual audience of over 45,000 visitors. As an artist-centred platform, dedicated to events content and networking.
For the ZAW25 edition, we are grateful to our Lead Partner Bank Julius Baer, as well as long-term partners such as the Swatch Art Peace Hotel, Stadt Zürich Stadtentwicklung, Zürich Tourism, Foundation Hubert Looser, 25hours Hotels and Kunsthaus Bar. We thank them warmly for their support in enabling Zurich Art Weekend to deepen culturally and socially relevant initiatives.

This June, ZAW will introduce a peer-led initiative uniting CURATORS, ARTISTS, INSTITUTIONAL DIRECTORS and COLLECTORS through a tailored, invitation-only offering of SPECIAL EVENTS designed to foster meaningful dialogue on pressing industry topics, such as institutional and societal challenges. These curated events will provide a relaxed, neutral setting for reflection and debate, enriching Zurich Art Weekend’s renowned VIP program, ahead of Art Basel. The forum is poised to become a cornerstone for building dynamic, connected communities within the global arts ecosystem. Alongside art venues, Zurich Art Weekend’s focus on interdisciplinarity transforms into a series of extensive collaborations with educational and interdisciplinarity projects and events with partners such as Löwenbräukunst, Provence, ZHdK Curatorial Studies, ZHdK Immersive Arts Space, schwarzescafé / Luma Westbau and Zurich Art Weekend Talks.
