CREATUM VANITY AF-FAIR.
Every year around the days leading up to Lent, one of the oldest and world´s most famous Carnivals takes place in one of the most amazing cities, Venice.
Il Carnevale di Venezia is one of the most beautiful Carnivals in the World and this year 2017 has been not the exception. As other years Venice and its Mascheras shine through the light of mystery and illusion. Amazing Costumes, beautiful masks, Elegant and exclusive balls, like the most famous one: Il Ballo del Doge ,always held at Palazzo Pisani Moreta. The theme of the ball in 2017 was: Venice is, so Splendid so Magic, so glam, and of course super events. The Markus Place covers itself with a veil of celebration.
The main celebrations take place at the beginning of February; this year on Febrary 11th, with the inauguration of the Carnival, a big spectacle at the Canal Grande picturing the motto of the year 2017. Venice Carnival motto is: Creatum Vanity Af-Fair, Creatum in honour to the origins of Venice and its actors, (the Artists and Handicraft makers), and Vanity af-Fair, the Vanity in all its forms, reflecting the illusion and the wish to be another person, to shine and to be something different, also for one day. The Carnival closes with the traditional flight of the Lion this year on February 28th.
