The World´s Most Beautiful, Amazing and Magic Festival
Every year around the days leading up to Lent, one of the oldest and world´s most famous Carnivals takes place in one of the most amazing cities, Venice.
Il Carnevale di Venezia is one of the most beautiful Carnivals in the World.
As every year Venice and its Mascheras shine through the light of mystery and illusion. Amazing Costumes, Beautiful Masks, Elegant and Exclusive Balls, like the most famous one: Il Ballo del Doge, always held at Palazzo Pisani Moreta.
The Carnival of Venice is alway surrounded by Beutiful events in Marvelous places. The Markus Place covers itself with a veil of celebration.
The main celebrations take place at the end of January; this year on January 27th with the inauguration of the Carnival, a big spectacle at the Canal Grande picturing the motto of the year.
Venice Carnival 2018 motto is: “Creatum Civias Luden” – The City that Plays.
The theme of the ball in 2018: THE GAME; the game unites man with all animals and is differentiated according to the various ages of life. The game then as a disguise, invention, change of identity, up to its most articulated and complex events such as entertainment, theater, music, art and circus.
Piazza San Marco, for the Ocassion, takes the form of big Circus. The Circus, “One of the oldest forms of spectacle, made of surprise, technique and magic, where fields and roles, skills and imagination, play and school are mixed. This tradition is inspired by the installation conceived by the scenographer of the Teatro La Fenice, Massimo Checchetto, who to celebrate the tradition has chosen some elements of the Italian circus Togni, used by Federico Fellini himself in the film “La Strada” (1954).

The Carnival closes with the traditional flight of the Lion this year on February 13th.
